I have used the Steel String (SS) and the Ultra Phoenix (UP) in series for a while and truly enjoy it a lot. The SS is more useful than I had imagined making the sound bigger and adding punch to the Blues Junior LE (BJ) I use for the most nowadays. It’s easy to get a nice break up. And when I kick in the UP I get a beautiful overdriven tone impossible to get in the BJ as it is. Well done, Vertex! Now I look forward to testing the Boost pedal I have ordered. I really dig the Steel String, it adds so much life to the tone. No need to turn the Super Reverb up to 6 to get the sweet sounds. The Filter knob really lets you dial in the mids. Ultraphonix might be the next purchase. Dumble tones for days.

This is my new "always on" pedal. It just seems to sweeten my overall sound emphasizing just the right frequencies. You won't be disappointed!

The tonal variations are great and the parameters easily adjustable. I've used a few different guitars (strat, schecter, wechter) and found the unit to be useful and distinctive.
